When I became a teacher, I was fortunate to learn from some amazing educators that served as exemplars for doing things the right way. Now that I am learning how to do podcasting, following the lead of those that are doing it right seems like a no-brainer. That opportunity came about at Planet Comicon in the form of a panel and an opportunity to have discussions with the team from The Nerdcast out of Manhattan, Kansas. The Nerdcast has been around for several years now and I was fortunate to get the chance to pick their brains and see the parallel lessons we have already learned and some ways in which we can improve.
Turns out the folks from The Nerdcast were all very cool and after their panel, I was able to sit down with Tyler Headrick and do a mutual interview recorded for both podcasts. At the beginning, I talk quite a bit about The Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and afterward, he shares a bit about The Nerdcast and their wider site Project-Nerd.

Big thanks to Tyler, Iggy, Adam, Bob and of course Erin for giving some hints to the newbies. Be sure to check out Project-Nerd and the Nerdcast (but come back here when you’re done … pretty please).
